Privacy
The independent operator of Makers' Wake uses personal data to run the website and playtest.
The website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Hosting providers may process basic request information needed to deliver and secure the site.
The home and Community pages show an online member count from Discord's public server widget API. Our server retrieves this count; your browser connects to Discord when you follow a Discord link. Discord's privacy policy applies when you use its service.
If you join the playtest, we process your email address and the account, character, gameplay, social, moderation, and security records needed to provide the game. Bug and feedback reports may include account, character, and location context after an in-game consent prompt. Diagnostics remain on your PC unless you choose to send them.
We process this information to provide the playtest and for legitimate interests in security, support, abuse prevention, and improvement. Where required, we ask for consent. Cloud hosting, email delivery, and communication providers process information as needed to provide those services. Data may be processed in the United States.
An authorized operator may use an email address to send a private pre-alpha registration key. Sending a key does not create a game account. The key is entered in the game only if that recipient creates a new account; it is not an authentication link.
We keep information while it is needed to operate the game, protect its security and integrity, resolve reports, or meet legal obligations. Short-lived authentication and technical records expire on operational schedules.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to or restrict certain uses. Email support@makerswake.com to make a request. We may need to verify that the account is yours. Never send an email verification code. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
The playtest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.
